dffaffaac1 shader/texture: Implement CUBE texture type for TMML and fix arrays
TMML takes an array argument that has no known meaning, this one appears
as the first component in gpr8 followed by s, t and r. Skip this
component when arrays are being used. Also implement CUBE texture types.

- Used by Pikmin 3: Deluxe Demo.

cd3e959f23 renderer_vulkan/wrapper: Fix physical device sorting
The old code had a sort function that was invalid and it didn't work as
expected when the base vector had a different order (e.g. renderdoc was
attached).

This sorts devices as expected and fixes a debug assert on MSVC.

d7843b8ef2 Remove ext_extended_dynamic_state blacklist
Latest AMD 20.9.2 driver fixed this, there's no reason to keep it blocked, as the previous stable signed driver release doesn't include the extension.

771a9c21cc common/wall_clock: Add virtual destructors
From -fsanitize=address, this code wasn't calling the proper destructor.
Adding virtual destructors for each inherited class and the base class
fixes this bug.

While we are at it, mark the functions as final.

86e4aa81e9 main: Allow applets to display on top while fullscreen
Using the Qt::WindowStaysOnTopHint flag allows these dialogs to show up on top while running in fullscreen. However, if yuzu goes out of focus (by alt-tabbing or otherwise), this flag does not seem to have an effect.

ca26fd0f42 vk_stream_buffer: Fix initializing Vulkan with NVIDIA on Linux
The previous fix only partially solved the issue, as only certain GPUs that needed 9 or less MiB subtracted would work (i.e. GTX 980 Ti, GT 730). This takes from DXVK's example to divide `heap_size` by 2 to determine `allocable_size`. Additionally tested on my Quadro K4200, which previously required setting it to 12 to boot.

Allows some implementations to avoid completely zeroing out the internal
buffer of the optional, and instead only set the validity byte within
the structure.

This also makes it consistent how we return empty optionals.

4f5bbe56ba vk_query_cache: Hack counter destructor to avoid reserving queries
This is a hack to destroy all HostCounter instances before the base
class destructor is called. The query cache should be redesigned to have
a proper ownership model instead of using shared pointers.

For now, destroy the host counter hierarchy from the derived class
destructor.

58b0ae84b5 renderer_vulkan: Make unconditional use of VK_KHR_timeline_semaphore
This reworks how host<->device synchronization works on the Vulkan
backend. Instead of "protecting" resources with a fence and signalling
these as free when the fence is known to be signalled by the host GPU,
use timeline semaphores.

Vulkan timeline semaphores allow use to work on a subset of D3D12
fences. As far as we are concerned, timeline semaphores are a value set
by the host or the device that can be waited by either of them.

Taking advantange of this, we can have a monolithically increasing
atomic value for each submission to the graphics queue. Instead of
protecting resources with a fence, we simply store the current logical
tick (the atomic value stored in CPU memory). When we want to know if a
resource is free, it can be compared to the current GPU tick.

This greatly simplifies resource management code and the free status of
resources should have less false negatives.

To workaround bugs in validation layers, when these are attached there's
a thread waiting for timeline semaphores.

65d9def873 configure_input_player: Re-add "Clear" context menu option
The context menu was removed in Mjölnir Part 1 as part of the input rewrite as we were unaware of it's usage statistics.
However, as this was the only way to clear the inputs of individual buttons, this PR will re-add it back in.

41c2f5200c submission_package: Account for multi-content NSPs
Previously we assumed a submission package can only contain one Program NCA with a single TitleID.
However, Super Mario 3D All-Stars contains four Program NCAs, each with their unique TitleIDs.
This accounts for the existence of multi-content games such as this one.
- Fixes booting Super Mario 3D All-Stars from the games list.

66fc037ef2 nca_patch: Significantly reduce the stack usage size within SearchBucketEntry()
Previously this function was using ~16KB of stack (16528 bytes), which
was caused by the function arguments being taken by value rather than by
reference.

We can make this significantly lighter on the stack by taking them by
reference.

9e87193725 video_core: Remove all Core::System references in renderer
Now that the GPU is initialized when video backends are initialized,
it's no longer needed to query components once the game is running: it
can be done when yuzu is booting.

This allows us to pass components between constructors and in the
process remove all Core::System references in the video backend.

Now left and right joycons have the same priority (meaning both needs to be supported by the game).

Explanation of the new heuristic:
Assign left joycons to even player indices and right joycons to odd player indices.
We do this since Captain Toad Treasure Tracker expects a left joycon for Player 1 and a right Joycon for Player 2 in 2 Player Assist mode.

c573920c01 vk_device: Fix driver id check on AMD for VK_EXT_extended_dynamic_state
'driver_id' can only be known on Vulkan 1.1 after creating a logical
device. Move the driver id check to disable
VK_EXT_extended_dynamic_state after the logical device is successfully
initialized.

The Vulkan device will have the extension enabled but it will not be
used.

I made a request on the Xbyak issue tracker to allow some constructors
to be constexpr in order to avoid static constructors from needing to
execute for some of our register constants.

This request was implemented, so this updates Xbyak so that we can make
use of it.

Abstracts most of the input mechanisms under an InputSubsystem class
that is managed by the frontends, eliminating any static constructors
and destructors. This gets rid of global accessor functions and also
allows the frontends to have a more fine-grained control over the
lifecycle of the input subsystem.

This also makes it explicit which interfaces rely on the input subsystem
instead of making it opaque in the interface functions. All that remains
to migrate over is the factories, which can be done in a separate

ccdd84a778 hle/scheduler: Fix data race in is_context_switch_pending
As reported by tsan, SelectThreads could write to
is_context_switch_pending holding a mutex while SwitchToCurrent reads it
without holding any.

It is assumed that the author didn't want an atomic here, so the code is
reordered so that whenever is_context_switch_pending is read inside
SwitchToContext, the mutex is locked.

ec8d72a567 microprofile: Don't memset through std::atomic types
Two of the members of the MicroProfileThreadLog contains two std::atomic
instances. Given these aren't trivially-copyable types, we shouldn't be
memsetting the structure, given implementation details can contain other
members within it.

To avoid potential undefined behavior on platforms, we can use aggregate
initialization to zero out the members while still having well-defined
behavior.

While we're at it we can also silence some sign conversion warnings.

91df2beee3 video_core/host_shaders: Add CMake integration for string shaders
Add the necessary CMake code to copy the contents in a string source
shader (GLSL or GLASM) to a header file then consumed by video_core
files.

This allows editting GLSL in its own files without having to maintain
them in source files.

For now, only OpenGL presentation shaders are moved, but we can add
GLASM presentation shaders and static SPIR-V generation through
glslangValidator in the future.

aed6011d7c vk_state_tracker: Fix primitive topology
State track the current primitive topology with a regular comparison
instead of using dirty flags.

This fixes a bug in dirty flags for this particular state and it also
avoids unnecessary state changes as this property is stored in a
frequently changed bit field.

d37f0b29e2 Fix thread naming on Linux, which limits names to 15 bytes.
- In `SetCurrentThreadName`, when on Linux, truncate to 15 bytes, as (at
  least on glibc) `pthread_set_name_np` will otherwise return `ERANGE` and
  do nothing.
- Also, add logging in case `pthread_set_name_np` returns an error
  anyway.  This is Linux-specific, as the Apple and BSD versions of
  `pthread_set_name_np return `void`.
- Change the name for CPU threads in multi-core mode from
  "yuzu:CoreCPUThread_N" (19 bytes) to "yuzu:CPUCore_N" (14 bytes) so it
  fits into the Linux limit.  Some other thread names are also cut off,
  but I didn't bother addressing them as you can guess them from the
  truncated versions.  For a CPU thread, truncation means you can't see
  which core it is!

GetSockName, Listen, Fcntl, SetSockOpt, Shutdown, Recv, RecvFrom,
Send, SendTo, Write, and Close

The implementation was done referencing: SwIPC, switchbrew, testing
with libnx and inspecting its code, general information about bsd
sockets online, and analysing official software.

Not everything from these service calls is implemented, but everything
that is not implemented will be logged in some way.

9b38f4fc55 kernel/scheduler: Use std::mutex instead of spin lock
Profiling shows that this is a highly contested mutex, causing dimishing
results compared to a OS lock. std::mutex implementations can spin for a
while before falling back to an OS lock.

This avoids wasting precious CPU cycles in a no-op.

Basic Installation
==================
Briefly, the shell command `./configure && make && make install'
should configure, build, and install this package. The following
more-detailed instructions are generic; see the `README' file for
instructions specific to this package. Some packages provide this
`INSTALL' file but do not implement all of the features documented
below. The lack of an optional feature in a given package is not
necessarily a bug. More recommendations for GNU packages can be found
in *note Makefile Conventions: (standards)Makefile Conventions.
The `configure' shell script attempts to guess correct values for
various system-dependent variables used during compilation. It uses
those values to create a `Makefile' in each directory of the package.
It may also create one or more `.h' files containing system-dependent
definitions. Finally, it creates a shell script `config.status' that
you can run in the future to recreate the current configuration, and a
file `config.log' containing compiler output (useful mainly for
debugging `configure').
It can also use an optional file (typically called `config.cache'
and enabled with `--cache-file=config.cache' or simply `-C') that saves
the results of its tests to speed up reconfiguring. Caching is
disabled by default to prevent problems with accidental use of stale
cache files.
If you need to do unusual things to compile the package, please try
to figure out how `configure' could check whether to do them, and mail
diffs or instructions to the address given in the `README' so they can
be considered for the next release. If you are using the cache, and at
some point `config.cache' contains results you don't want to keep, you
may remove or edit it.
The file `configure.ac' (or `configure.in') is used to create
`configure' by a program called `autoconf'. You need `configure.ac' if
you want to change it or regenerate `configure' using a newer version
of `autoconf'.
The simplest way to compile this package is:
1. `cd' to the directory containing the package's source code and type
`./configure' to configure the package for your system.
Running `configure' might take a while. While running, it prints
some messages telling which features it is checking for.
2. Type `make' to compile the package.
3. Optionally, type `make check' to run any self-tests that come with
the package, generally using the just-built uninstalled binaries.
4. Type `make install' to install the programs and any data files and
documentation. When installing into a prefix owned by root, it is
recommended that the package be configured and built as a regular
user, and only the `make install' phase executed with root
privileges.
5. Optionally, type `make installcheck' to repeat any self-tests, but
this time using the binaries in their final installed location.
This target does not install anything. Running this target as a
regular user, particularly if the prior `make install' required
root privileges, verifies that the installation completed
correctly.
6. You can remove the program binaries and object files from the
source code directory by typing `make clean'. To also remove the
files that `configure' created (so you can compile the package for
a different kind of computer), type `make distclean'. There is
also a `make maintainer-clean' target, but that is intended mainly
for the package's developers. If you use it, you may have to get
all sorts of other programs in order to regenerate files that came
with the distribution.
7. Often, you can also type `make uninstall' to remove the installed
files again. In practice, not all packages have tested that
uninstallation works correctly, even though it is required by the
GNU Coding Standards.
8. Some packages, particularly those that use Automake, provide `make
distcheck', which can by used by developers to test that all other
targets like `make install' and `make uninstall' work correctly.
This target is generally not run by end users.
Compilers and Options
=====================
Some systems require unusual options for compilation or linking that
the `configure' script does not know about. Run `./configure --help'
for details on some of the pertinent environment variables.
You can give `configure' initial values for configuration parameters
by setting variables in the command line or in the environment. Here
is an example:
./configure CC=c99 CFLAGS=-g LIBS=-lposix

Compiling For Multiple Architectures
====================================
You can compile the package for more than one kind of computer at the
same time, by placing the object files for each architecture in their
own directory. To do this, you can use GNU `make'. `cd' to the
directory where you want the object files and executables to go and run
the `configure' script. `configure' automatically checks for the
source code in the directory that `configure' is in and in `..'. This
is known as a "VPATH" build.
With a non-GNU `make', it is safer to compile the package for one
architecture at a time in the source code directory. After you have
installed the package for one architecture, use `make distclean' before
reconfiguring for another architecture.
On MacOS X 10.5 and later systems, you can create libraries and
executables that work on multiple system types--known as "fat" or
"universal" binaries--by specifying multiple `-arch' options to the
compiler but only a single `-arch' option to the preprocessor. Like
this:
./configure CC="gcc -arch i386 -arch x86_64 -arch ppc -arch ppc64" \
CXX="g++ -arch i386 -arch x86_64 -arch ppc -arch ppc64" \
CPP="gcc -E" CXXCPP="g++ -E"
This is not guaranteed to produce working output in all cases, you
may have to build one architecture at a time and combine the results
using the `lipo' tool if you have problems.
Installation Names
==================
By default, `make install' installs the package's commands under
`/usr/local/bin', include files under `/usr/local/include', etc. You
can specify an installation prefix other than `/usr/local' by giving
`configure' the option `--prefix=PREFIX', where PREFIX must be an
absolute file name.
You can specify separate installation prefixes for
architecture-specific files and architecture-independent files. If you
pass the option `--exec-prefix=PREFIX' to `configure', the package uses
PREFIX as the prefix for installing programs and libraries.
Documentation and other data files still use the regular prefix.
In addition, if you use an unusual directory layout you can give
options like `--bindir=DIR' to specify different values for particular
kinds of files. Run `configure --help' for a list of the directories
you can set and what kinds of files go in them. In general, the
default for these options is expressed in terms of `${prefix}', so that
specifying just `--prefix' will affect all of the other directory
specifications that were not explicitly provided.
The most portable way to affect installation locations is to pass the
correct locations to `configure'; however, many packages provide one or
both of the following shortcuts of passing variable assignments to the
`make install' command line to change installation locations without
having to reconfigure or recompile.
The first method involves providing an override variable for each
affected directory. For example, `make install
prefix=/alternate/directory' will choose an alternate location for all
directory configuration variables that were expressed in terms of
`${prefix}'. Any directories that were specified during `configure',
but not in terms of `${prefix}', must each be overridden at install
time for the entire installation to be relocated. The approach of
makefile variable overrides for each directory variable is required by
the GNU Coding Standards, and ideally causes no recompilation.
However, some platforms have known limitations with the semantics of
shared libraries that end up requiring recompilation when using this
method, particularly noticeable in packages that use GNU Libtool.
The second method involves providing the `DESTDIR' variable. For
example, `make install DESTDIR=/alternate/directory' will prepend
`/alternate/directory' before all installation names. The approach of
`DESTDIR' overrides is not required by the GNU Coding Standards, and
does not work on platforms that have drive letters. On the other hand,
it does better at avoiding recompilation issues, and works well even
when some directory options were not specified in terms of `${prefix}'
at `configure' time.
Optional Features
=================
If the package supports it, you can cause programs to be installed
with an extra prefix or suffix on their names by giving `configure' the
option `--program-prefix=PREFIX' or `--program-suffix=SUFFIX'.
Some packages pay attention to `--enable-FEATURE' options to
`configure', where FEATURE indicates an optional part of the package.
They may also pay attention to `--with-PACKAGE' options, where PACKAGE
is something like `gnu-as' or `x' (for the X Window System). The
`README' should mention any `--enable-' and `--with-' options that the
package recognizes.
For packages that use the X Window System, `configure' can usually
find the X include and library files automatically, but if it doesn't,
you can use the `configure' options `--x-includes=DIR' and
`--x-libraries=DIR' to specify their locations.
Some packages offer the ability to configure how verbose the
execution of `make' will be. For these packages, running `./configure
--enable-silent-rules' sets the default to minimal output, which can be
overridden with `make V=1'; while running `./configure
--disable-silent-rules' sets the default to verbose, which can be
overridden with `make V=0'.
Particular systems
==================
On HP-UX, the default C compiler is not ANSI C compatible. If GNU
CC is not installed, it is recommended to use the following options in
order to use an ANSI C compiler:
./configure CC="cc -Ae -D_XOPEN_SOURCE=500"
and if that doesn't work, install pre-built binaries of GCC for HP-UX.
HP-UX `make' updates targets which have the same time stamps as
their prerequisites, which makes it generally unusable when shipped
generated files such as `configure' are involved. Use GNU `make'
instead.
On OSF/1 a.k.a. Tru64, some versions of the default C compiler cannot
parse its `<wchar.h>' header file. The option `-nodtk' can be used as
a workaround. If GNU CC is not installed, it is therefore recommended
to try
./configure CC="cc"
and if that doesn't work, try
./configure CC="cc -nodtk"
On Solaris, don't put `/usr/ucb' early in your `PATH'. This
directory contains several dysfunctional programs; working variants of
these programs are available in `/usr/bin'. So, if you need `/usr/ucb'
in your `PATH', put it _after_ `/usr/bin'.
On Haiku, software installed for all users goes in `/boot/common',
not `/usr/local'. It is recommended to use the following options:
./configure --prefix=/boot/common
Specifying the System Type
==========================
There may be some features `configure' cannot figure out
automatically, but needs to determine by the type of machine the package
will run on. Usually, assuming the package is built to be run on the
_same_ architectures, `configure' can figure that out, but if it prints
a message saying it cannot guess the machine type, give it the
`--build=TYPE' option. TYPE can either be a short name for the system
type, such as `sun4', or a canonical name which has the form:

where SYSTEM can have one of these forms:

KERNEL-OS
See the file `config.sub' for the possible values of each field. If
`config.sub' isn't included in this package, then this package doesn't
need to know the machine type.
If you are _building_ compiler tools for cross-compiling, you should
use the option `--target=TYPE' to select the type of system they will
produce code for.
If you want to _use_ a cross compiler, that generates code for a
platform different from the build platform, you should specify the
"host" platform (i.e., that on which the generated programs will
eventually be run) with `--host=TYPE'.
Sharing Defaults
================
If you want to set default values for `configure' scripts to share,
you can create a site shell script called `config.site' that gives
default values for variables like `CC', `cache_file', and `prefix'.
`configure' looks for `PREFIX/share/config.site' if it exists, then
`PREFIX/etc/config.site' if it exists. Or, you can set the
`CONFIG_SITE' environment variable to the location of the site script.
A warning: not all `configure' scripts look for a site script.
Defining Variables
==================
Variables not defined in a site shell script can be set in the
environment passed to `configure'. However, some packages may run
configure again during the build, and the customized values of these
variables may be lost. In order to avoid this problem, you should set
them in the `configure' command line, using `VAR=value'. For example:
./configure CC=/usr/local2/bin/gcc
causes the specified `gcc' to be used as the C compiler (unless it is
overridden in the site shell script).
Unfortunately, this technique does not work for `CONFIG_SHELL' due to
an Autoconf limitation. Until the limitation is lifted, you can use
this workaround:

`configure' Invocation
======================
`configure' recognizes the following options to control how it
operates.
`--help'
`-h'
Print a summary of all of the options to `configure', and exit.
`--help=short'
`--help=recursive'
Print a summary of the options unique to this package's
`configure', and exit. The `short' variant lists options used
only in the top level, while the `recursive' variant lists options
also present in any nested packages.
`--version'
`-V'
Print the version of Autoconf used to generate the `configure'
script, and exit.
`--cache-file=FILE'
Enable the cache: use and save the results of the tests in FILE,
traditionally `config.cache'. FILE defaults to `/dev/null' to
disable caching.
`--config-cache'
`-C'
Alias for `--cache-file=config.cache'.
`--quiet'
`--silent'
`-q'
Do not print messages saying which checks are being made. To
suppress all normal output, redirect it to `/dev/null' (any error
messages will still be shown).
`--srcdir=DIR'
Look for the package's source code in directory DIR. Usually
`configure' can determine that directory automatically.
`--prefix=DIR'
Use DIR as the installation prefix. *note Installation Names::
for more details, including other options available for fine-tuning
the installation locations.

Run the configure checks, but stop before creating any output
files.

Troubleshooting

If the compilation process complains about missing libraries, ensure that the
default library paths for your project points to the relevant directories.
If needed, these libraries can be obtained by installing either the latest
Windows SDK or the DDK (Links provided at the end of this file).
For Windows CE it is necessary to install the CE USB Kernel Wrapper driver for
libusb to function on a device.

PORTING LIBUSB TO OTHER PLATFORMS
Introduction
============
This document is aimed at developers wishing to port libusb to unsupported
platforms. I believe the libusb API is OS-independent, so by supporting
multiple operating systems we pave the way for cross-platform USB device
drivers.
Implementation-wise, the basic idea is that you provide an interface to
libusb's internal "backend" API, which performs the appropriate operations on
your target platform.
In terms of USB I/O, your backend provides functionality to submit
asynchronous transfers (synchronous transfers are implemented in the higher
layers, based on the async interface). Your backend must also provide
functionality to cancel those transfers.
Your backend must also provide an event handling function to "reap" ongoing
transfers and process their results.
The backend must also provide standard functions for other USB operations,
e.g. setting configuration, obtaining descriptors, etc.
File descriptors for I/O polling
================================
For libusb to work, your event handling function obviously needs to be called
at various points in time. Your backend must provide a set of file descriptors
which libusb and its users can pass to poll() or select() to determine when
it is time to call the event handling function.
On Linux, this is easy: the usbfs kernel interface exposes a file descriptor
which can be passed to poll(). If something similar is not true for your
platform, you can emulate this using an internal library thread to reap I/O as
necessary, and a pipe() with the main library to raise events. The file
descriptor of the pipe can then be provided to libusb as an event source.
Interface semantics and documentation
=====================================
Documentation of the backend interface can be found in libusbi.h inside the
usbi_os_backend structure definition.
Your implementations of these functions will need to call various internal
libusb functions, prefixed with "usbi_". Documentation for these functions
can be found in the .c files where they are implemented.
You probably want to skim over *all* the documentation before starting your
implementation. For example, you probably need to allocate and store private
OS-specific data for device handles, but the documentation for the mechanism
for doing so is probably not the first thing you will see.
The Linux backend acts as a good example - view it as a reference
implementation which you should try to match the behaviour of.
Getting started
===============
1. Modify configure.ac to detect your platform appropriately (see the OS_LINUX
stuff for an example).
2. Implement your backend in the libusb/os/ directory, modifying
libusb/os/Makefile.am appropriately.
3. Add preprocessor logic to the top of libusb/core.c to statically assign the
right usbi_backend for your platform.
4. Produce and test your implementation.
5. Send your implementation to libusb-devel mailing list.
Implementation difficulties? Questions?
=======================================
If you encounter difficulties porting libusb to your platform, please raise
these issues on the libusb-devel mailing list. Where possible and sensible, I
am interested in solving problems preventing libusb from operating on other
platforms.
The libusb-devel mailing list is also a good place to ask questions and
make suggestions about the internal API. Hopefully we can produce some
better documentation based on your questions and other input.
You are encouraged to get involved in the process; if the library needs
some infrastructure additions/modifications to better support your platform,
you are encouraged to make such changes (in cleanly distinct patch
submissions). Even if you do not make such changes yourself, please do raise
the issues on the mailing list at the very minimum.
